Hi James

Cheers - that's all good advice.

What's interesting to me is that within about six hours of writing this post my Adsense earnings quadrupled. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it was a bit of a revelation, let me tell you.

I am using the SEO Plugin, yes - it's a good'un.

No idea what the double-glazing was about! Maybe that's a market we need to tap into? ;)

Cheers,
Sheamus

Congratulations on making your first dollar. The first few dollars always take a while but soon you will start getting a lot more clicks. I didn't start using Adsense until last November and and it has taken me until just earlier this month to reach $100 in total (and I have about 4 sites with it on).

There are loads of little things you can do though to get more clicks, I know people on the forums bang on about you need tonnes of traffic but thats not always the case. For example, my JamesMunday.net site makes around $15-20 a month on average (sometimes more, sometimes less) and as you can see from my recent post about web stats I get very little traffic. Placement is key and the right sort of adverts. I noticed an advert for a double glazing company on your page earlier... very strange! Are you using the SEO Wordpress Plugin? That helps loads with getting adverts which relate to the content :)

Good luck and keep up the good work!

P.S. Thanks for mentioning my site the other day in one of your blog entries! :)
