It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. It’s a new life. For me. And I’m feeling good…
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009Hi. I see you're new here. That's cool. To find out what this site is about, please read this page. You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. It's free, you won't receive any spam from me (like, ever), but more importantly: you'll never miss a single word. Thanks for visiting!
Wow, it’s been four months since my last update. That’s not so cool.
What’s been going on? Well, stuff, mostly, as you’d imagine. I’ve got a new job. I stopped running. The Frank Dux post I wrote seems to have taken over. We have a new and potentially exciting president in the White House. Quantum of Solace was a massive disappointment. Californication, and especially Lew Ashby, was the best thing on TV in 2008. I’m spending more time on Twitter of late.
Life, as they say, moves on.
Meanwhile, here’s a brief list of things I’m enjoying, or have enjoyed, of late:
- Guns N Roses (pre-Chinese Democracy, actually pre-Use Your Illusion I&II)
- Reading old articles about Robert Downey Jr (pre-sobriety)
- Entourage
- Jim Beam
- Jack Daniels
- The Biggest Loser
- Flashbacks Of A Fool
- The XBOX 360 Resident Evil 5 demo
- High Concept: Don Simpson And The Hollywood Cultures Of Excess
- Bright Lights, Big City (the novel, although I have a soft spot for the film, too)
- Michael McIntyre
- The Heroin Diaries
Meantime, I’ve started work on my long-overdue novel. It’s currently in the outline stage, is set in the City of London and will take place between 2001-07. It has some autobiographical elements, but it would be awfully poor form of me to reveal what at such an early stage. Or, indeed, ever.
Hopefully it will be sitting on a bookshelf near you by the end of the year.
