How many people want the new Iron Man torrent? About two billion, it seems.

Or a third of the world.

If you hurry, it may still be there.
Methinks possibly there’s been some kind of error.

That’s just a signed integer overflow which happens when unsigned int -1 is converted to a signed integer, i.e a bug:
(2^32)/2 - 1 = 2,147,483,647

Definitely an error. Signed double word (32bit) can hold values up to 2,147,483,647. I don’t believe in such a coincidence. I believe in bad programming.

Maybe I’m wrong, but isn’t it two thousand millions?

Yes; that would be two British billions.
However, the accepted use is nine digits.
